Our Review: The large, square shape of the clubhead is something one has to get used to, but that doesn't take long once you've hit the club. We took it to the range and also played 18 holes with it. For some of us it markedly increased distance, for a few it didn't. However, it substantially increased the accuracy of everyone's shots. The design of this driver is such that it increases the sweet spot to almost the whole club face, and decreases the twisting of the clubhead when one hits the ball off center (i.e. with the toe of the clubhead). Both these features make this club extremely forgiving and the driver of choice for beginners and average players.
The finishing is in high gloss coating and mirror finish, very nice to look at. When you look down at it at address it looks so huge that it boosts confidence: "...there is no way I can miss that ball...".
This club also attracts attention not only because of its good looks but also because of the sound it makes at impact. The 'bang' is like a small explosion, but that's normal for all square drivers - just be prepared when you hit it for the first time!
Likes: Remarkably accurate even with off center hits (hence a great club for beginners and average players); beautiful design.
Dislikes: You need to get used to the sound upon impact.

"The hardest thing to get use to with this club is the sound. Might well distract your playing partners until they get used to it. Sound alone will tell you whether you have hit a clean shot. First time out on the range it performed like I had been playing with it for months. I only get a few more yards off the tee, but the end result is a more predictable direction"

"The Tour Series BLOC 455 Driver is a winner! I purchased one from a local sporting goods store as I liked the looks and feel of the entire club, and having Pinemeadow products in the past, I thought it would be good. I was wrong, it is GREAT! 100% of my drives on all par 4 and 5 holes were in the fairway with the exception of one that I pushed when I tried to kill the ball, and then it was in the 1st cut off the fairway. My distance averaged about 280 yards on each drive. I am 54 years old, 6ft 1 and about 255, a retired Marine. I am telling all my friends about this club. I even let someone who had the new Nike Driver in his bag at $399.00 try it out..he was driven to tears as he hit better with the BLOCK Driver from Pinemeadow. Keep up the good work, I cut 9 strokes off my game just because my drives are in the fairway now. I am sure I will be hitting in the 80s as a normal score with the use of this club."

"I bought this club , and when I received it in South Africa where I live, the glue in between shaft and head was very dry and not thinking, I changed the shaft. Well the bottom line is I hit this club further and straighter than any other before, the noise takes getting used to, and a friend remarked that the underside is looking messy, where the black finish is obviously going to wear, but a vry easy club to use, and gives big confidence when you are setting up for your drive."
