Manufacturer's Description Details: The Command series has always been highly regarded as a forgiving club featuring cutting edge weighting throughout the clubhead. The wider then usual sole design combined with an under-cut cavity and rear weighting produce superior playability for all types of players.

Our Review: A very obvious feature of these irons is their wide sole with the four additional weights in the back of it. Since these weights sit very far in the rear of the clubhead they remarkably reduce the twisting of the clubhead on miss hits and increase stability and accuracy. The wide sole itself reduce the turf drag, especially when hitting in the rough. The low center of gravity (due to the wide sole and the weights) even allows for some half decent results when one just tops or sculls the ball.
This is a great game improvement club for players of all abilities. The matte finish may not be for everyone, but the forgiveness and playability of these clubs is unquestioned.
According to Pinemeadow this is one of their best selling iron sets, and at $149 for 3 to PW they deliver excellent playability and value.
Likes: Solid hit out of the rough and other 'tough' lies.
Dislikes: Nothing, except maybe the matte finish.

I have played golf for 3 months, after playing as a kid for about three years. I'm 60. I read your reviews of these clubs, and was quite skeptical. However, for the money, I decided that I'd take a chance. I had been to the Taylor Made "golf day" at one of the clubs, and loved the way the R7's hit. The Command Q's are every bit as good, and the results are as well. My best 18 hole course, until I bought these clubs, was 99. I have had the clubs for about three weeks. Over the last week, I shot 83, 85, 80 and 79 on Estrella del Mar course in Mazatlan (par 72, 5959 yards). The clubs were a major reason why. Honestly, I thought you made up some of the reviews. However, I found that the quality of the clubs is excellent, customer service was superb (4 days, from order to in my hands) with custom clubs (1-1/2 inches long, 1 degree down lie, jumbo grips with two wraps of tape, graphite shafts). I agree with the other folks who have said they are sticking with PMG. They have done a great job with your Command Q line. Now, if I could just figure out backspin!

I hate to sound like I work for Pinemeadow (I don't), but when my wife and I were playing together today, which we do 2-3 times a week, she tried my new Command Q 5-iron and would not give it back. I am sure a lot of it has to do with just simply the new clubs in general these days having a lower MOI and stuff, but if you have been playing with clubs more than a few years old, you really should try the new cavity-style, more forgiving, game improvement, lower MOI clubs. She has a set of $2000 3-gold-star Honmas and wants to by a set of Command Q's like I just got a couple of weeks ago. The TaylorMades cost a lot more, but I can't imagine they play any better.
