Pinemeadow Command BK Hybrids

(as alternative to the TaylorMade® Dual TP Hybrids)

Golf Club Review: Pinemeadow Command BK Hybrids

Manufacturer: Pinemeadow Golf

Model: Pinemeadow Command BK Hybrids

Compares to: TaylorMade® Rescue Dual TP

Manufacturer's Description Details: The Command Hybrids have a new look with the same great features that have made them our most popular hybrids to-date. Our exclusive black pearl finish gives these clubs a sleek, stylish look. They come equipped with two rear 6g weights designed to lower the center-of-gravity, increase the MOI (moment-of-inertia) and allow for shot shaping.

The adjustable weight-port technology gives you the ability to shift the weight of the club head to promote different shot types. Whether you prefer a draw, fade or straight ball flight expect to see longer shots, increased launch and improved accuracy. Use the hybrids directly off the tee, straight out of the rough or on tight lies right off the fairway.

Compare features and performance to TaylorMade® Dual TP Hybrids at $299

Our Review: These Hybrids are a follow-up to the recently launched black Pinemeadow Command BK Irons. The shining black color gives these Hybrids a unique look, again very elegant and sophisticated just like the irons we tested earlier. Actually, it's not just 'black' but 'black pearl', which reminds me of a recent popular movie starring Johnny Depp - pure coincidence I'm sure...

Anyways, a small drawback of the black-pearl color is that the number on the clubhead is a bit difficult to see, so you have to look closely before you pull one out of your bag.

The test clubs came with the standard hybrid graphite shaft and standard grip, a high quality combination that will suit most golfers. The graphite shaft is an excellent match for the club, and you should never change it to a steel shaft just to save a few bucks. Overall the quality of the club is superb as expected from Pinemeadow Golf.

One of the outstanding features of the Pinemeadow Command BK Hybrids is their ability to customise the weight distribution in the clubhead. The club comes with two weight plugs of 2 grams and 6 grams each. If you tend to slice just put the 6 gram weight into the heel and the 2 grams into the toe, and you are able to compensate. We played around with the weights, and it really works!

The Hybrids come in four different lofts and are able to replace all your long irons. They are easy to hit, even off a (short) tee. The club head is quite heavy, which allows the easy use of these Hybrids in the rough. The heavy weight also allows for some good distance, all very well appreciated characteristics.

Overall these Hybrids are a great choice in case you're struggling with your longer irons, and/or if you tend to slice your ball with your irons. The Pinemeadow Command BK Hybrids deliver excellent playability and, given the superb graphite hybrid shaft, great value.

Likes: Adjustable for different swing patterns, especially slicers.

Dislikes: Numbers on the club are a bit difficult to read. Not available for Lefties.

recieved my command BK hybrid(4h) on time and as advertised. the best packaging i've seen. very professional. prior to my purchase I called pinemeadow staff a few times and they were always helpful and patient(I ask alot of questions). I was concerned about the quality of the standard shaft.Having played with this club 4 rounds now, I'm no longer concerned.solid feeling shaft. hit it 175 to 180 yards with smooth swing. easy to hit. I will purchase more clubs from pine meadow without hesitation. thanks for a quality club at a very reasonable price.

I want to let you know I started golfing about 12 years ago. I got my score down to 98 pretty quick. Then I decided to take 5 lessons. That was a wrong thing. All I got out of it was you have a good swing but I don't know why your not hitting the ball. After his changes I gave it up My game was so bad it was ridiculous. I decided to buy a cheap set of clubs to hit in the pasture. I finally got my short game back. I've never had a long game. I visited your web site and read your reviews on hybrids. I've heard a lot about hybrids in the last few years. I saw the price on your hybrids and thought I'm not out much if I didn't like them. After buying these clubs I would not trade them for anything. Something about them work great for me. I plan on buying a complete set of Command BK irons, Command 4 fairway woods and a Command Q2 driver. I hope I get as much for the money as I did those 2 hybrid clubs. Thanks to you I'm back to golfing again.

I carry a 5 or 6 handicap but have always had trouble with long irons,(3 and 4). I recently replaced my Taylormade Rac-OSIrons (3 and 4), Which by the way were made in China, with the Command 3,4, Hybrids with the graphite shaft. These Hybrids are so much easier to hit, I no longer worry about 180 and 190yard fairway or tee shots. Just take a nice smooth swing and let the club do the work. I enjoyed the clubs so much, I also got the 5 hybrid also and use it for 170-175yard shots. Great clubs and cost much, much less than name brand clubs. I would reccomend these to anyone.
